Quiet hours from 10 PM to 8 AM, a daily cap, nothing while you're idle, and a snooze button. Bedtime and good morning are allowed through, because that is the whole point.
Five moods, one mustache
He comes out with his usual face, then reacts to what he's saying. Stern when you skipped lunch, worried when the battery is low, proud when you listened.
Pro lets you replace him with a photo of your actual father. He will still nag.
He speaks your language

The license key arrives by email within a minute. Paste it in Baaapp, Settings, Pro.
Questions Papa gets asked
- macOS says the app "can't be opened" or is "damaged".
- The early builds aren't notarized yet. Right-click Baaapp.app in Applications, choose Open, then Open again. Once is enough. Or run
xattr -cr /Applications/Baaapp.appin Terminal. - My Mac doesn't have a notch.
- Then he floats in a small black island just under the menu bar. Same Papa, same bubble.
- How do I activate Pro?
- After checkout, Dodo Payments emails you a license key. Click the mustache in the menu bar, Settings, Pro tab, paste the key, Activate. It works on Macs; deactivate on one to move it.
- What does Baaapp collect?
- Nothing. Settings live in your Mac's user defaults, your picture stays in Application Support, and the only network call is checking a Pro license key with Dodo Payments if you have one. No analytics, no account, no microphone.
- Can I make him say my own things?
- That's Pro's custom instructions. Per reminder you write your own lines, use
{name}for what he calls you, and add an English line after two slashes for the grey translation. Or tell him to use only your lines. - Is this related to Maaa?
